Marceline Chevron Drop Earrings

Marceline is a French name with a hard centre and a soft ending, much like the earring. Four open chevron frames hang in a column from the ear, graduating from small to large, and inside each one sits a hexagonal lab grown diamond, a shape you rarely see and one that gives a crisp, mirror like flash. The frames are articulated, so they move with you, and their pointed downward corners echo the six sided stones inside. At 35 millimetres of drop and 13 millimetres wide, the pair is long but airy.

Hexagonal cutting is exacting work, and fifty years of Surat workshops make it look easy. The pair carries 1.8 carats across eight laboratory-grown diamonds in three graduated sizes, VVS-VS clarity and D-E-F colour, IGI and SGL certified, in BIS hallmarked 14k or 18k gold in rose, white or yellow, or in 925 silver.
