Lab grown diamond resale value at Luminique, in short

Every Luminique piece can be exchanged or sold back to us for life. You always know the value in advance: it is a fixed percentage of Luminique's current selling price, set out in the table below.

• Buyback (cash): 85% of the current market value of the laboratory-grown diamonds and 100% of the current market value of the gold, including 9KT, 14KT and 18KT.
• Exchange (upgrade): 100% of the current market value of the diamonds and the gold, credited to a new piece worth at least 20% more.
• Gemstones: 70% of invoice value on buyback, 80% on exchange.
• Not refunded: making charges, GST, certification costs and any discount on the original purchase.

Worked example

Say a ring's current Luminique selling price breaks down as ₹30,000 for the diamonds, ₹20,000 for the gold at today's rate, and ₹10,000 for making and GST.

• Buyback: 85% of ₹30,000 = ₹25,500, plus 100% of ₹20,000 = ₹20,000. You receive ₹45,500.
• Exchange: ₹30,000 + ₹20,000 = ₹50,000 of credit towards a new piece priced at ₹60,000 or more.

These figures are only an illustration; your value is worked out on the day from the current prices of your piece. Bring the piece with its invoice and IGI or SGL certificate.

Questions about resale and exchange

Why is the value based on today's price and not what I paid?

Gold and diamond prices move. Valuing at today's selling price keeps it fair and clear on both sides, and the gold in your piece always counts at 100% of the day's value.

Does 9KT gold get full value?

Yes. Gold of every purity sold by Luminique, including 9KT, is valued at 100% of its current market value for exchange and buyback.

Is there a time limit?

No. Exchange and buyback are for life on every Luminique purchase.
