Viola Circle Cluster Necklace

The Viola Circle Cluster Necklace is a tennis necklace that has been allowed to breathe. Instead of a solid line of stones, it is made of open circles, each paved on its front face with round lab grown diamonds, and where each circle meets the next a small flower cluster of seven rounds is set, so the join becomes an ornament. Toward the back the circles change to plain polished ovals, and the necklace closes with a box clasp.

The 462 rounds were cut and set in Surat by a family workshop that has polished diamonds for fifty years, small stones graded and sized so every circle carries the same light. They weigh 4.71 carat of laboratory-grown diamonds in total, graded VVS-VS clarity and D-E-F colour and certified by IGI and SGL. It sits about 139 mm across and is made in BIS hallmarked 14k or 18k gold in yellow, rose or white finishes, or in 925 silver.

Wear it with a boat neck or a bare collarbone, and keep the earrings to small clusters that echo the flowers. It is a reception necklace for the bride's sister, or a twentieth anniversary gift that will still be worn at the thirtieth.

Grown with the same lattice as a diamond formed under pressure, and joined circle to circle to last.
