Holden Bevel Solitaire Ring

The Holden Bevel Solitaire Ring hides its diamond in plain sight. The band is flat and wide with bevelled outer edges, and a groove is cut into its centre line. The 0.5 carat round brilliant lab grown diamond sits inside that groove in a four-prong setting, protected on both sides by the raised edges of the metal. From the side the ring is a clean slab; from above it is a slab with a spark.

The stone was polished in Surat by a house with half a century of diamond work behind it. It is a laboratory-grown diamond of 0.5 carat, graded VVS-VS clarity and D-E-F colour and certified by IGI and SGL. The band is approximately 7.9 mm wide and is available in BIS hallmarked 9k, 14k or 18k gold in yellow, rose or white finishes. Twelve characters can be engraved inside.

This is a daily ring for a man who works with his hands, or a first diamond for a man who does not think he is the type. It sits well beside a steel bracelet and looks best when slightly worn in.
