Clemence Toi et Moi Ring

Clemence is a toi et moi with unusual geometry. On one side sits a 1.5 carat hexagon cut lab grown diamond, six flat sides and a wide, calm face; on the other a 1.4 carat trillion, three points and quick fire. The bypass shank curves so the two stones tilt toward each other rather than sitting in a line. The name is French for mercy, and there is something gentle about two very different shapes making room.

Fifty years of Surat diamond craft go into balancing two stones that weigh almost the same and look nothing alike. Clemence carries 2.9 carats of laboratory-grown diamonds across the hexagon and the trillion, VVS-VS clarity and D-E-F colour, IGI and SGL certified. The head measures 11.7 mm by 25.5 mm. Made in BIS hallmarked 14k or 18k gold in rose, white or yellow finishes, or in 925 silver.

Clemence is an engagement ring for a pair who would rather be two than one and the same. Wear it alone, and let the bypass show. Twelve characters can be engraved inside. Optically identical to a diamond formed over a billion years, and paired here with its opposite.
