Lavinia Feather Brooch

The Lavinia Feather Brooch is a plume drawn in light. The feather curls upward from a tapered quill, its barbs fanning out and curling back at the tips, every one of them set with round lab grown diamonds. Where the plume bends, a single square cut lab grown gemstone is set in four prongs, the one block of colour on a feather of white.

The 209 diamonds were cut and pave set in Surat, where five decades of family craft have refined the technique of following a curve with stones without losing a single one. They weigh 2.45 carat of laboratory-grown diamonds in total, graded VVS-VS clarity and D-E-F colour and certified by IGI and SGL. The gemstone is 1.9 carat. The brooch is about 21 mm wide and 50 mm long, made in BIS hallmarked 14k or 18k white gold.

Choose the gemstone: Amethyst Purple, Citrine Yellow, Emerald Green, Ruby Red, Sapphire Blue or Sapphire Pink. Pin it diagonally on a jacket lapel, at the shoulder of a gown, or in the pallu of a saree so the plume points upward. It is a graduation or a first-book gift for a writer.
